Large number of ports

RB493G has nine Gigabit Ethernet ports, three miniPCI sockets and two switching circuits, so the Ethernet ports can be combined into two groups of switches to provide bandwidth.
RB493G also has a USB 2.0 port and microSD card slot for adding more storage or 3G USB 3G for backup connection.

High performance of the device

The device has a powerful Atheros AR7161 processor and has 256 MB of built-in RAM. RB493G contains RouterOS – an operating system that will turn this powerful system into a highly advanced router, firewall or bandwidth manager.
