Extralink 48 volt 24 watt PoE power supply.

Extralink PoE power adapter (power adapter) provides power through selected strands of twisted-pair cable to network devices such as media converters, access points, cameras, etc. The 48V 0.5A PoE power adapter allows Fast Ethernet network data transfer while providing power over a single cable. This model is a Passive PoE solution that allows transmission at Gigagbit Ethernet speeds, and is not compatible with the IEEE 8023at/af standard. Unlike power supplies with a 5.5/2.1mm jack connector, the presented PoE adapter directly powers 100Mbps PoE devices without the use of additional network accessories.

The power supply is equipped with a 1.2-meter long power cable terminated with a cloverleaf connector and two RJ45 ports, one is used to connect the device to be powered, and the other socket is used to connect a patchcord to a switch or router. The device can be installed in residential, tele-technical rooms or rack cabinets.

The LED indicates the correct operation of the device. In the event of a short-circuit or overload protection tripping, the PoE power supply cuts the voltage to the device, and restores the voltage automatically after the failure is over.
